SalesSense - The Background
SalesSense was formed in 2006 with a vision to be the top provider of outsourced sales services across Ireland. In a short period of time we have grown to a team of 70, covering management, sales administration and of course field and telephone sales professionals. We have enjoyed successes working with major providers in the energy, telecoms, waste and utilities sectors. This rapid growth required us to open our Dublin office in 2007 alongside our original office in Galway.
We provide outsourced sales, sales management and business development services to clients large and small across Ireland and our track-record speaks for itself.
SalesSense - Driven By A True Sales Professional
SalesSense is owned by Ger Teahon and as he says "What sets us apart from other companies is that we don't just talk about sales, we deliver on sales". He can afford to be confident; as a sales professional with experience in all forms of sales and sales management, he enjoyed many years of success within a number of top organisations.
He started his career as a Field Sales Executive with Eircom, selling their range of residential products to home owners in Dublin. This "Feet On The Street" sales experience was invaluable in learning the real art of selling. In a short few years Ger moved quickly up the ranks from Sales Executive to Sales Manager of the Residential Sales Team, then Sales Manager for a SME sales team. He also worked as Business Development Manager for Eircom's Call Centres and as a Corporate account manager before becoming National Sales Manager for the SME Division.
It was this role that defined his time at Eircom and saw him increase sales per head by 60% and reduce churn by 50%, which also had the effect of increasing sales quality by 12%.
With this level of success it wasn't long before Ger's now vast sales and management experience were sought after in new ventures and in 2005 he was recruited into a fledgling Smart Telecom. Ger was part of the Senior Management team that oversaw the hiring and training of 100+ sales people and implemented a sales strategy that allowed Smart Telecom to make a major impact in the Irish telecoms market.
SalesSense - The Beginning
SalesSense was born during this time from the realisation that there was a market need for a company to deliver sales along with all the planning and management required to deliver real results. A company that could alleviate the overheads and headaches associated with managing large sales teams internally. A company like this would not only benefit large organisations, but also smaller companies that might want to run a sales pilot. So in 2006 SalesSense began offering teams of sales people, trained and ready to deliver results in a number of ways, including contract, commission-only and salaried; dependent on the needs of the client.

Despite the recent global recession, SalesSense has enjoyed growth in recent years. We believe that this growth will continue into the future, with SalesSense engaging with more and more clients thanks to a track record of delivering quality sales and exceeding targets, while our clients focus on their business rather than on the small details of achieving the sales they need.
